FIRST Robotics
On our STEM Discovery: Boston and STEM Discovery: New York City & Boston tours, students will ignite curiosity and teamwork through a hands-on workshop led by Mass Robotics and FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology). Students will have the chance to meet and learn from robotics experts. Then, they’ll bring innovation to life by programming a robot using blockchain coding techniques.

Honor Flight Network
History turns into personal connection for students traveling to our nation’s capital. Honor Flight Network transports veterans from across the country to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials for wars in which they fought. While visiting these sites, students celebrate servicemen and women. As they meet and bond with veterans, students gain a new perspective on what they learn in the classroom.

Turnstile Tours
Students will get a taste of New York City when they embark on an immersive food cart tour. They’ll get to sample foods ranging from Bengali kati rolls and halal chicken and rice to Belgian waffles and Mexican tacos. Plus, they’ll meet working street vendors—the majority of whom are immigrants—to hear their stories, learn how the vending industry works, and discover the essential role vendors play in feeding their communities.
Mount Vernon
See history brought to life through hands-on interactions. Students will explore the mansion and grounds where George Washington lived, as well as learn about his life—and those of the people who lived at the estate—through in-depth, expert-led tours and performances by character actors. EF groups can also choose to participate in a tour that dives deeper into the daily lives and experiences of Mount Vernon’s enslaved community.

United Nations Association of the United States of America
The UNA-USA team and EF Explore America collaborate on developing exclusive learning opportunities for EF groups and equipping Tour Directors to have engaging conversations with students. As part of the “It’s a Better World” campaign, which focuses on sustainable development goals, students will think deeply about how we treat the planet, how we treat each other, and how we can strive to improve both.
