  1. Terrific Experience

Once again EF has provided a once-in-a-life-time experience for our students. The time spent in D.C. was very busy but we pretty much saw and did everything we came to see. Tour guides at Williamsburg, Jamestown and Shirley Plantation were knowledgeable and engaging. The ranger at Historic Jamestown and the guide at Shirley Plantation were especially interesting. I've never been to the Historic Jamestown Park, the kids were interested in the archaeological dig, which they have seen in videos, and the glass house demonstrations. My teaching partner and I were blown over with the history and standing in the very places we teach kids about every year! The house tour at Shirley plantation was amazing. After the house tour students were introduced to six different colonial era games, which they enjoyed, but after that there wasn't enough to do for kids at the Plantation. While I and other adults on tour enjoyed Shirley Plantation, I probably won't bring my students here again. Overall, the trip was an incredible experience for everyone!

  2. Memory Making

First I have to give an amazing review of our tour guide. She was so knowledgeable of all the areas we visited, was able to answer all of our questions and knew perfectly how to wrangle a bunch of kids so no one drifted off alone or became bored. I have to say that Colonial Williamsburg was probably my favorite place to visit and was so thankful that we spent the most time there. The recreation of Jamestown had the kids a bit bored but I still think they found it somewhat interesting. Overall the trip was absolutely amazing and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

  3. Great

It was a very fun trip with a great and enthusiastic guide. My only recommendation is to exchange the Baltimore aquarium for another activity (because I didn’t feel comfortable going to the aquarium and didn’t go). I also think that there should be less written on the itinerary because I expected that we would do everything listed but we didn’t. I enjoyed all the free time we had to wander as well as the guided tours. There was a good balance.

  5. A good time

Everything was excellent but the awful corral restaurant. Our tour guide was the best!

  6. Awesome time!

I don't think it would have been as good if my other chaperone didn't suggest to add Busch Gardens. That was the PERFECT breakup of the week of learning. Also Skye was THE BEST which made all of the difference!
