So many great sights and shows! Felt like we received a good taste of the city.

  • Questionable Value

The staff both on the phone in advance and onsite were very helpful, but selection of shows we saw in NY were not great, our seats at every show were in the back of the top balcony. For many shows that's no big deal as theatres in NY tend to be small, but for Phantom it was terrible. The dinners which were part of the package were extremely generic and I would have preferred an allowance as there are better options available in that price range.

In the future I would recommend our group work with a travel agent for airfare, transfer busses and hotels and that we manage the rest ourselves.

  • Great experience

The tour was amazing, as a staff member with the school I think I enjoyed it as much as the kids did. Our tour guide Allen made the tours and whole experience great!

  • Wonderful experience

My daughter went on this trip - Theaters New York - and loved every minute. Seems to have been well organized and the hotel was great. Recommend.

  • Tour was fabulous until the end

We had an amazing tour. Then we headed home. Due to problems with the plane. I understand those things happen. But being part of a tour, I felt we were taken care of with the least amount of care. We were traveling with students. High school kids. When our plane was delayed we were held over for 12 hours in SF airport. We were 3 hours from home. I felt that EF should have found a more efficient way to get us home. We were there for 3 meals which was ok for me but some of the kids were on limited funds as they only planned for the trip until the date we were supposed to return. I think that EF should have done a better job getting us home. The tour was amazing. Our tour guide, Alan, kept it up beat and gave us a great deal of information. Glad I did the tour, just wish it would have ended better.

EF Delivered! Three Amazing Shows - Three Workshops led by Broadway Professionals - the Best Tour Director Ever - Hotel in the Heart of the Action - 99 cent Pizza - Subway Rides - Neighborhood Tours away from Midtown - Food that Everyone Enjoyed - Museums and Memorials - ALL IN SIX DAYS!
Our initial flight was delayed which caused us to miss our connection to LaGuardia - No Worries - EF and the airline coordinated our new plan - three different airports greeted us to the City with transportation and guides welcoming us to our educational adventure. Our students were inspired by the opportunities provided us by EF - a Q&A with an actor from Wicked, an acting workshop with a 2 time Tony nominee, and learning choreography from a swing from School of Rock exemplified EF's name - EDUCATION FIRST. The city was our classroom and our kids have been forever changed. Other highlights include: Hearing our kids recite Shakespeare in Shakespeare's Garden - Central Park, Pizza at Lombardi's, Sitting in on a rehearsal of the NY Philharmonic at Lincoln Center, Walking the stage at Radio City Music Hall, Brooklyn Heights & DUMBO! Thanks EF for the best week ever!
